2008 IEMPA RULES

ENGINE
Only one carbureted engine with a max of 530 cu in
Cast iron block only (Ford SVO, Chevrolet Bowtie, and Chrysler Siamese permitted)
Aluminum heads permitted
No sheet metal intakes (cast only)
No no fuel injection , turbos or super chargers
Fuel gas or alcohol  NO oxidizes or pressurized fuel tank, nitrous oxide, nitro methane,or propane as a fuel additive   Upper lube allowed

DRIVELINE
Slipper clutches allowed
Tractor must start only in neutral or park
All automatic transmissions must be covered from the rear of the block to the tail housing by a blanket, 1/4 in steel plate, or SFI approved cover
Manual transmission bell housing must be surrounded with 1/4 in steel unless a SFI  approved bell housing is used
Driveshaft must be fully covered from front to rear

CHASSIS
Maximum length is 14 foot from the center of the rear end to the furthest point forward   (including weights)
Agricultural tractor rear-ends only  NO planetary rear-ends allowed
Rubber tires only max tire size 30.5 32
Roll cage and fenders to keep the driver from coming in contact with the tires mandatory
All tractors must have individual working brakes
Hitching point must not be less than 18 in back of the center of the rear wheels and not to exceed 20 in  height at hitching point
Draw bar must be rigid with a 3 in /3 1/2 in hole
Stabilizer bars that will support the weight of the tractor required. Bars must extend no less than 32 in behind the center of the rear wheels and a maximum height of 10 in at the rear most point. Pads must be 5 in square minimum
5800 lbs max weight with driver and safety gear

MISC
Every tractor will be inspected at least once per year. The inspection team will be made up of at least 2 drivers. The engine will be pumped for cubic inch at this time and sealed. If seal is not present you will be re pumped before allowed to pull.
Age limit 16 with written parent consent
Driver must wear seat belts, helmet, and SFI approved fire suit
Pay 1 place per tractor
Only one driver allowed per class
